Empowering Young Minds

11th January 2025 was a day that truly warmed my heart and reminded me of the joy that comes from sharing what you know with others. Priyanka and I had the opportunity of visiting Gyanmata High School in Khanvel to hold a session for SSC board students. As I walked into the school, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and responsibility. These young minds, standing on the threshold of an important milestone in their lives, deserved every bit of encouragement and support I could offer.

The session was centered around preparing for exams not just in terms of study techniques but also in building a mindset that could carry them through the journey. I wanted the students to see themselves as capable and worthy, to know that their efforts mattered. We talked about setting goals with purpose, using positive affirmations to boost their confidence, and following some golden rules for success. We shared practical study strategies, methods to help them focus better, retain information, and manage their time effectively providing tools to empower them to perform at their best.

What made this experience even more special was how personal it felt. Speaking in Varli, our shared local language, allowed me to connect with the students on a deeper level. The energy in the room shifted: it was no longer just a session but a heartfelt exchange. Seeing their smiles, hearing their questions, and watching their expressions light up with understanding was a reward in itself. The presentation became more than words and slides; it became a moment of connection, of bridging gaps, and of truly being present for them.

As the session came to an end, I took a moment to soak in the atmosphere. The students were so engaged and eager to learn, it filled me with pride and gratitude. Later, hearing from them and the school staff about how much they appreciated the session felt like the ultimate reward. Moments like these remind me why I do what I do, they reinforce the joy and purpose of sharing knowledge, building connections, and helping others grow.
